5 Post Easter Holiday Craft Activities

Hands up if you're done with Easter and have no idea how to entertain the kids for another week of the Spring Break.

There are so many blogs, Pinterest boards and Facebook groups out there it can be hard to sift through it all to get the best activities and fast.

If you've run out of ideas to keep the kid's busy than we have our top 5 Springtime activities.

These are easy to follow, last minute crafts, to get you into Spring and power you through the last part of the school Spring Break holiday.

1. Fitness Springtime Treasure Hunt

Here is an activity from Super Healthy Kids if your kids need to burn off some steam, especially if they ate their body weight in chocolate over Easter. Getting outside for Spring and using those last bits of Easter chocolate, can be a huge winner for a group of jumpy kids.

  • 10-20 Over Energised Children
  • 10-15 Plastic Easter Eggs (Eco Eggs)
  • Paper to write exercises hunt activities
  • Refreshing drinks to cool down after the hunt

2.  After Dark Glow Stick Egg Hunt

Glow In The Dark Egg Hunt

The kids will love this twist on the Easter Egg hunt from a Busy Mom.

Basically cut a pack of glow sticks into smaller pieces, get your eco-plastic eggs and fill with a glow stick. Hide around your space and wait till the sun goes down, to unleash the Easter Egg hunt participants.

3. Eggs Cress Heads

Come on, everyone loves a cress head right? You can have fun decorating the eggs before you line with wet paper towels and cover in seeds. Spray with a water bottle and place on the window seal. Watch as the heads grow throughout the last part of the Easter holidays and if you’re feeling really fancy, take a time lapse video and send your child back to school with a video documentation of their green-fingered Easter break.

4. Spring Healthy Picnic

Young children love to have teddy bear picnics. So grab your cool box and fill with yummy snacks, some fun eco plates, cups and head to your local park or even your own backyard. The kids will love the adventure. If you are lucky, you may find some Spring flowers to make a flower crown too. A great tip for making nature crowns is to buy a wide roll of double-sided tape, cut into strips, gather your nature and stick directly onto the tape.

5. Cooking With The Kids

Cooking with your kids is one of the best activities to pass the time fast and keep your little people entertained. The BBC is full of great child-friendly activities for you and your children. Some with an Easter slant, others just fun and tasty for all the family.
